Favorite Quote
Recently, I’ve found this quote from MLK particularly helpful: “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk, then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”
I chose to work at Daugherty because:
It’s a company that is: attracting talented people who are desirable to work beside, a client base that is great to work with, a leadership team that is great to work for, and a culture/size that encourages/allows me to make a real impact on my colleagues and our business.
The best professional advice you’ve ever received:
Sometimes it doesn’t matter what you’re doing, it matters how well you do it.
Your first job:
Construction crew grunt at age 14.
My skills include:
Project/Delivery Management, wielding very large dry erase markers, being dangerous enough on the command line and with SQL to annoy developers.
Industries you’ve worked in:
Construction, Caffeine Retail, Automotive Manufacturing, Telecommunications, and Hospitality.
Proudest Moment
Clichés aside, it is truly a tie between marrying my wife Emily and the day we had our son Jack.
People would be surprised to hear:
Don’t always appear interesting, but when I do, I do it by answering questions like this.
In my spare time:
Enjoy early al fresco dinners with the family, build lego/duplo creations with my son, and tell jokes that make my wife roll her eyes because she’s too cool to admit she thinks they are funny.
Education
B.S. from the University of Alabama with a Major in Management Information Systems and Minors in Computer Science and Computer Based Honors Research
Hobbies and Voluteering Interests
I enjoy running (slowly), and just recently retired from coaching youth basketball and baseball, which I have done for the past 15 years at my high school alma mater in Alabama, Dunwoody Baseball and the St. Pius X Basketball programs in Atlanta.
