Jan Daugherty Executive Vice President

Jan Daugherty is the Executive Vice President of Daugherty Business Solutions, a company she co-founded with her husband Ron Daugherty in 1985. Together, they’ve transformed Daugherty into a leading provider of solutions in the area of business intelligence, digital engagement, mobile solutions, and IT/Business process improvement for Fortune 500 corporations. Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, Daugherty currently employs over 1,000 professionals and has additional offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Minneapolis, and Franklin Lakes, NJ.

Jan believes the key to working successfully with your spouse for nearly 30 years is a clear division of labor. Ron is the public face of the company, driving sales and the strategic vision. Jan focuses on the operational aspects of the firm – currently managing the Directors who lead each of the business units. Responsibilities include oversight of the Recruiting, Delivery, Sales Support, and Administration teams. Key initiatives she is focused on include the establishment of enterprise-wide, leading technology development centers, building an enhanced presales support team and improving the collaboration across all Daugherty business units through the Team Daugherty approach. During her tenure at Daugherty, Jan has also had many other roles such as running the Mobile Solutions and Training divisions.

She’s also passionate about promoting STEM initiatives within her community of St. Louis. Jan believes that technology is a terrific career choice for many young women and wants to help get the word out. Last year, she dedicated time to helping high school girls understand what a career in technology is all about — highlighting how much can be achieved with the understanding of mathematics and how achievable it is for girls willing to make the effort.

Before starting Daugherty, Jan was a software developer and project manager for Emerson Electric and McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing). Jan is a certified PMP, has an MBA from Maryville University in St. Louis, and a B.A in Economics from Knox College in Illinois.

In any spare time, she keeps busy with her four grown (or almost grown) children, one grandchild, and a multitude of dogs. Other hobbies include horseback riding, writing and running. Jan currently holds the Missouri State Senior record for the Women’s 1500m run and will be competing at the National Senior games in Minneapolis this summer.
