The United Way of Greater St. Louis and the St. Louis Regional Alliance For The Troops (RAFTT) Serve Military Families
As part of their November 10th Veterans and Family Day Open House and Breakfast, the United Way of Greater St. Louis will announce the addition of the St. Louis Regional Alliance for The Troops (RAFTT) portal (www.raftt.org) to their listing of providers available through the 2-1-1 program, a confidential service designed to connect people with available community resources.
“2-1-1 Is United Way‟s information and referral hotline where people can call 24/7 to find help or to give help. The addition of RAFTT and its Alliance members to the 2-1-1 database will enhance access to services dedicated to military members, their families, and veterans”, said John Glenn, Vice President of the Tri-County Division of United Way.
“Having 24 hour, seven day a week access by phone to a trained, caring professional is an important enhancement for military families and veterans searching for providers to meet their needs”, said Lee Metcalf, retired Navy Admiral and Program Director for the RAFTT, “My thanks to the United Way and to the design team at Daugherty Business Solutions who have worked tirelessly to make the portal a reality.”
