Minneapolis Development Center to Add 30 Team Members
Continued project wins at Daugherty Business Solutions create job opportunities for Twin Cities technologists
Representatives from Daugherty Business Solutions, a premier provider of business and technology solutions, announced its Development Center will be hiring 30 technology professionals after being selected for several major project wins in the Twin Cities market. The office will be adding new systems engineers, project managers, and other staff as they continue to onboard client projects for several major Twin Cities corporations. Daugherty Development Centers offer outsourced, managed software development services. In addition to its Minneapolis location, Daugherty currently operates three other Development Centers in Atlanta, Chicago, and in the company’s St. Louis headquarters.
“Although the concept wasn’t new to Daugherty, the Minneapolis office made the commitment to providing Development Center services a little over a year ago,” said Wes Strait, Senior Operations Manager for Daugherty Business Solutions in Minneapolis. “With these recent project wins and others, growth in 2016 has surpassed our highest expectations. We’re in the process of expanding into new space that will double the size of our current Development Center. In addition, we’ll be hiring skilled technology professionals to meet the increased demand for services across all of our clients.”
Daugherty Development Centers provide project development services based on Daugherty’s rapid feature elaboration process (RPM) and agile development practice. The approach strategically reduces the cost of application maintenance, management, development, implementation, training and support for the organization’s clients. Daugherty developers create custom software for any platform, including Java Spring, Scala, .NET, iOS, and Android for cloud-deployed architecture, mobile app integrations, Amazon web services and SaaS solutions.
Development Center clients can anticipate a predictable cost and timeline based on Daugherty’s extensive experience in the industry, rapid feature elaboration process, and agile development practice. The staff in Minneapolis consists of project managers, system architects, business analysts and systems engineers, many of whom are Certified ScrumMasters (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owners (CSPO). The Daugherty Minneapolis Development Center expects to hire new technologists in these areas throughout the remainder of 2016.
“We knew there was a strong need for managed project services that could be outsourced effectively, yet located close to the organization’s home,” said Nick Reinbold, Managing Director of Daugherty Business Solutions Minneapolis. “Although we expected a strong response from the Minneapolis market, we’ve been blown away by the interest in our Development Center services from both our current Minneapolis clientele and new clients. This is just one more way that we’re delivering value and contributing to the growth of our clients’ business and providing more opportunity for our people to work on exciting projects.”
The Daugherty Minneapolis Development Center is currently engaged on projects for several Minneapolis-based clients as well as clients located in Chicago, St. Louis, and Alabama. Based on current opportunities within the pipeline, Strait and Reinbold expect project growth to accelerate through 2016 and into next year
