Daugherty Named Elite Winner at Atlanta’s “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” Competition

Daugherty Business Solutions  was named an Elite Winner at Atlanta’s “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” annual awards luncheon on June 19, 2013 at the Atlanta Marriott Century Center.

This is the third year that the National Association for Business Resources (NABR) has presented this annual event, which provides companies with the opportunity to pursue a Best and Brightest designation. The winning companies demonstrated exceptionally innovative human resource practices and set high standards for all of Atlanta’s businesses.

Daugherty was recognized in the Medium-Size Business category based on assessments on a number of key measures in each category. Each company’s entry was evaluated by an independent research firm.

“We are honored to be an Elite Winner of Atlanta’s 101 Best and Brightest,” said Andrew Wells, Atlanta Branch Manager. “Our talented consultants contribute to building an organization in which we collaborate to create programs that help our company’s culture continue to grow and innovate.”

Among the successful programs at the company is the Corporate Citizenship initiative with the Atlanta Center for Self-Efficiency. Daugherty donated all the laptops used in the Atlanta Center for Self Sufficiency’s computer lab. The laptops assist individuals transitioning from homelessness in building technical skills and finding new employment.

“A strong culture and common values is at the heart of any great workplace and the recognition from Atlanta’s Best and Brightest Elite Award affirms the level of energy and innovation we put into creating a best-in-class working environment for our consultants,” said Wells.

Also popular is the Peer Adviser program, which pairs up new employees with tenured employees to serve as informal mentors during the transitional onboarding and orientation period as a new hire.

Daugherty’s Atlanta branch was established in 1991 and currently employs 140. Their largest accounts include The Home Depot, Cox Communications, and NAPA.
