Daugherty Business Solutions Presents $2,500 Scholarship at Women in Technology Event

To show our commitment to improving opportunities for women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), Daugherty Business Solutions awarded a $2,500 scholarship to Neely Swartz during the Women in Tehcnology (WIT) Connect 2017.

The Alan C. Pope High School graduate received both a scholarship from Daugherty and a ThoughtWorks scholarship, which was also for $2,500.

In high school, Swartz was a member of the National Honors Society as well as the Spanish and English National Honors Societies. Swartz lettered in robotics and received the Academic Letter Award for 4.0 GPA from 2015 to 2017.

Swartz will continue to exercise her passion for science and lifelong learning by pursuing a microbiology degree at the University of Georgia beginning fall 2017.

WIT Connect, WIT’s annual event, brings together more than 600 of Atlanta’s top technology leaders. During this year’s event, more than $90,000 in scholarship awards were distributed.
