At Daugherty Business Solutions, we bring a fresh approach to consulting by rolling up our sleeves and working with our clients—collaborating to solve some of their most pressing business challenges. We’re practical, not pompous. We deliver results, not reports. It’s why some of the most well-known companies in the world trust us with their mission-critical projects and why working here satisfies the smart, the talented, and the curious.
Ron Daugherty, founder of Daugherty Business Solutions, saw a very strong pattern in his early work as a consultant. Anywhere there was new technology, there was opportunity for competitive advantage and differentiation. And with that, there was also a tremendous amount of confusion.
Those who are most attracted to the new technology space are very different from the individuals driving the business side. In fact, they really don’t even speak the same language. Today, more than 30 years later, that pattern is still evident and is a main component of our business. We’re helping clients utilize technology to drive business value by being a leading provider of solutions in several business areas.
The company is closing in on $200 million in revenue with more than 1,000 employees in seven cities. The company is still being run by husband and wife co-founders Ron and Jan Daugherty, who are still a great team. Jan credits this to a clear division of labor. Ron is the public face of the company, driving sales and the strategic vision. Jan focuses on the operational aspects of the firm, managing the directors who lead each business unit.
While today’s trend tends to build something just to make a lot of money, this has never been their philosophy. Rather, Daugherty is focused on building something useful, and that’s entirely what drives the company forward. We believe in providing exceptional value to our clients, an incredible work environment for our employees, and unwavering support to the communities in which we live. Those guiding principles and the great people on our team are the reason we’re still going strong after 30 years.
