Daugherty Enterprise Architects are responsible for solution analysis , design and delivery and are top-level technical expert s who identify the components of an organization’s information technology environment and defines their relationship to the mission of the organization. Enterprise Architects have a high level of diverse technical experience relating to study and analysis of system needs and possess skills related to business management, system engineering, operations research, and management . He or she will be able to adapt to client environment, standards and methods. Enterprise Architects provide technical leadership for client and technical teams and mentor Architects, technical team leads and software engineers in architectural issues and best practices.
Additional responsibilities include:
- System development and system process analysis, design and re-engineering detailing the principles.
- Developing guidelines and standards that specify the strategy and style for the consistent implementation of information technology (application, data, platform and system integration).
- Identifying and reporting technical risks throughout the life of the project and provide mitigation strategy for those risks.
Experienced in the following:
- Technical Architecture and Applications Architecture experience
- Accomplished tactician, able to align technical solutions with business needs, while minimizing risks
- Ability to develop Enterprise Architecture Designs, Processes, Standards and Guiding Principles
- Architecture Line of Service development
- Extensive knowledge of multiple Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes
- Working knowledge of Gartner Group Enterprise Architecture Process, including Sponsorship, Governance, Process Model, Architectural Products, Technology Management and Production Technology Support
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Processes including Business, Information, Portfolio and Technical Architectures
Extensive knowledge of Enterprise Application Architectures, including:
- Monolithic Single-Tier
- Two-Tier Client Server
- Three-Tier and N-Tier Web
- Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Extensive knowledge of Enterprise Integration Architectures, including:
- Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)
- Service-Oriented Integration (SOI)
- Service-Oriented Information Integration (SOII)
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence architectures
Education Requirement: 4-year college degree, preferably in Computer Science or Business-related studies.
Experience Requirement: 8+ years experience in software engineering, 6+ years in application architecture, 4+ years in technical architecture.
